Pick Up the Pen: Start Your Writing Project:

In this fun, supportive workshop, you'll begin a writing habit you can stick with and enjoy. Learn practical tips and easy prompts that will allow you to develop a writing routine and complete your writing project. All adults are welcome to attend. Please bring a notebook and a pen. This class is free to attend but preregistration is required, as space is limited. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Cultural Council of Northern Berkshire, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

About Lara: Lara Tupper believes that a writing practice can be built from short bursts of freewriting. A graduate of the Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College (MFA), she taught writing at Rutgers University for many years and now presents workshops in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. For ten years she was a faculty member at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, where she led writing workshops and retreats for thousands of guests seeking wellness practices. She is founder of Swift Ink Stories (private manuscript development and public writing workshops) and is an award-winning author of three books (the novels Off Island and A Thousand and One Nights and a short story collection, Amphibians).
