Join us for a figure sketching workshop, led by artist Chalice Mitchell.

About the event
People with all levels of experience are welcome to join Figure Drawing with Chalice Mitchell. The two hour session will start with simple and quick sketches leading up to two 20 minute sketches with a live in person model. Chalice will give short demos and instruction in gesture, proportion, and anatomy. The multitalented Tavish Costello will be our figure model allowing us to study the human form and focus on the practice of seeing and drawing.
Suggested Materials:
- 9x12" to 18x24" drawing paper
- Drawing board or MDF
- Vine charcoal (soft & medium)
- Charcoal pencil
- Kneaded eraser
- Portable easel if you have or want one
*If you prefer to draw in pencil or pen or another not-terribly-messy material, you are welcome to bring those supplies.
Chalice shops at Miller's Art Supply in Pittsfield or Jay's Art Shop in Bennington.
